TEMPLES IN GOA
Mahalaxmi Temple
The beautiful temple is situated at Zambaulim, about 22kms from Margoa on the banks of the Kushawati River. The main festival celebrated is shigmo, the Goan Hindu festival of color.
 
Shree Chandranath Temple
This temple is situated at paroda, on top of a 359m high hill in Quepam taluka. The deity is Lord Chandranath or Lord of the moon: an incarnation of lord Shiva. The temple is so design that the main deity, the lingam receives moonlight on every full moon. It is also said that whenever moonlight shines on the lingam it oozes water.
 
Shree Mahadeva Temple
This ancient temple is situated at Tambdi Surla, about 12kms from Molem and 66kms from panaji and is in Sanguem Taluka, it is the only intact surviving temple of the kadamba era the shrine is dedicated to Lord Mahadeva, another name for lord Shiva.
Shree Brahma Temple
This temple is situated at carambolim, 7km from Valpoi in Sattari taluka. It is the only temple in Goa and only second Brahma temple in India the second one being in Rajasthan dedicated to Lord Brahma who is a part of the Trinity in Hindu Mythology along with Lord Vishnu and lord Shiva.
 
Shree Rudreshwar Temple
This temple is situated at Aravalem, just by the scenic Aravalem waterfalls. It is dedicated to lord Rudreshwar, an incarnation of lord Shiva this is the site of the annual Shivratri Zatra which draws thousands of people nearby is the famous "Pandava Caves".
