Most International Visitors to India arrive by air. Travel ling within the country is possible by air, train Road and in some places, either ferry or boat. Even remote regions are accessible. However, whatever your mode of transport, you should be prepared for delays and unexpected detours that may test your patience. The state run Indian Airlines has the widest network of air routes. Private airlines such as Sahara and Jet Airways also cover a number of cities and offer excellent cities. Indian railways is one of worlds largest networks, and traveling first class is a good way to see the country. The long distance air-conditioned luxury coach is also an option.

International Flights and Airports.

We book flights to all international Destinations from India. Most schedule flights are from Major cities like, Mumbai, Delhi, Calcutta, Bangalore and Chennai. Domestic airlines are used to travel to these major cities to get connected to the international flights. Most International flight departs early morning hours of the Indian Standard time. Airfares vary according to the airline and the season. It is best to book tickets well in advance of the peak season (October-March). Domestic Travel

Traveling by air.

Although more expensive than traveling by train, air travel in India is the most comfortable and convenient mode of travel. There are many as 115 domestic airports in India, many of which are greatly improved in terms of technology as well as customer services. The main cities of Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai are well connected to all domestic airports in the country. If you have booked internal flights before leaving for India, do reconfirm on arrival. Erratic flight timetables, flight cancellations and delays due to bad weather conditions in winter (Dec-Jan) are common, so remember to reconfirm you flight and also the flight timings.

Indian Airlines, Jet airways and Air Sahara are the three Major airlines operating at present. The recently started Air Deccan and Spice jet do cheap fares as compared to the rest of the airlines.

Traveling by Train.

For most visitors, train journeys add fascinating new dimension to their experience of India, The Indian Railways network is the fourth largest in the world. Trains are always over crowded so try to book your tickets in advance. Tickets can be booked up to three months in advance and reservation fees are nominal. Never by tickets from touts, as this both illegal and unreliable.

Travel by bus And Coach

India has an extensive bus and coach network, offering excellent connections to most major cities as well as to the most remotest parts of the country. Buses refer to the ordinary transports that run interstate. Coaches are usually more comfortable with air-conditioning, these are often hired for tours and also ply between cities.
